How do I resolve the Close Connection error?

QuickBooks Desktop may give an error message related to an XML file if the data is not in the format that is expected or is corrupted.

If you receive an error that mentions "Close Connection" while using QuickBooks Desktop and synchronizing data using the Web Connector you may need to address underlying data issues.

If Chargezoom PayPortal identifies that data is corrupted or otherwise has unallowed characters, it will prevent Web Connector from synchronizing the data. 

Resolving the error

Verify that your Company File does not have errors and is not corrupted. If the file has errors or has been determined to be corrupted, you can verify and rebuild the data inside of QuickBooks Desktop.
